Questions I Hear a Lot.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes. First 30 minutes are free. No upsell, no "free trial that auto-charges," no surprise invoice. After that, deeper engagements are $100/hr. Consultation and planning is a separate service billed in addition to the project, not credited toward the build.
What happens in the free 30 minutes?
You describe your situation, I ask questions, and you leave with a clear sense of what you actually need: refresh, rebuild, maintenance, or no change at all. No pressure to hire me at the end.
Will you give me a quote on the call?
Usually a ballpark. Firm quotes come after a paid scoping engagement where I review your existing site, analytics, and competitors in depth.
What if I just want a second opinion on someone else's quote?
That is exactly what consultations are for. Bring me a quote you have received from someone else and I will tell you honestly whether the scope, price, and approach make sense. If it is a legitimate US quote, my Price-Beat Guarantee applies and I beat it by 10%, whether or not I had quoted the work myself.
Do you ever recommend NOT hiring you?
Often. If you need someone in your time zone, a Shopify specialist, a brand agency, or a different platform entirely, I will say so and point you in the right direction.
Can we do this by email instead of a call?
Absolutely. If you would rather skip the call, use the contact form and ask whatever you need. I respond within one business day.
Do you take projects outside Idaho?
Yes. Most of my work is remote. I am based in Kuna, ID, but my clients are everywhere.
