Why me ยท one developer, direct access

Fewer Middlemen.More of Your Money in the Work.

Most web work is priced for the overhead you never see: account managers, sales teams, and markup on other people's services. With me it is simpler. You get the person who writes the code, an honest price, and a site you fully own.

Grade Your Website
No Middlemen

You deal directly with the developer writing your code. Nothing routes through an account manager or a project coordinator first.

One Rate

One published rate of $100 an hour, with no agency margin stacked on top. What the work costs is what you pay.

No Contracts

The care plan runs month to month and a build never locks you in. You can leave whenever it stops being worth it.

20% Off

Nonprofits, veterans, and active-duty military take 20 percent off every service. It applies to builds and to ongoing care alike.

The difference, side by side

What You Actually Get for Your Money.

Not a knock on agencies, some are great. This is just an honest look at where your budget goes with a big shop versus with one developer.

Typical agencyThe usual setup
Working with meThe Silver Fox
Who builds it

A rotating team, often with offshore help and handoffs between them.

One developer, start to finish. The person who scopes it is the one who builds it.

Pricing

Vague estimates and hourly creep that grows as the project drifts.

Fixed scope, written up front. The number I quote is the number that holds.

The code

Page-builder bloat or a bought theme you effectively rent.

Custom-coded and lightweight, so your pages load fast and stay fast.

Ownership

Locked to their platform, with your content held on their terms.

Yours in full at final payment: the domain, the database, and every file.

Hosting & tools

Marked up and resold, so you pay a margin on someone else's service.

You pay providers directly at their price, never a margin on someone else's service. That is true wherever an account is in your name. Managed hosting is the one case that works differently and it is my own product, not a resold one: $24.99 or $49.99 a month, published.

Contracts

Long lock-ins and forced annual renewals that are hard to leave.

No long-term contract. Care plans cancel anytime, no penalty.

What that means for you

Six Ways It Adds Up in Your Favor.

The whole model is built to keep more of your budget in the work itself, and to leave you in control when it ships.

Direct Access

You talk to the developer, every time. No account manager relaying messages, no queue, no game of telephone.

Built, Not Assembled

Custom code instead of page-builder bloat means a faster, lighter site that is easier to keep and cheaper to run.

You Own Everything

Code and content transfer to you at final payment. You are never locked to me to keep your own website running.

Honest Pricing

Fixed-scope quotes, no hourly creep, and no markup on hosting or third-party tools you hold yourself. Managed hosting is my own product at my own price, not a resold plan. You pay for work, not overhead.

No Lock-In

No long-term contracts and no forced renewals. Care plans cancel anytime, effective at the end of the month you paid for.

Honest Timelines

Real dates and real odds, told straight. If something is a long shot or will take longer, you hear it before you spend.

Price-beat guarantee

Got a Written Quote? Bring It.

Bring me any legitimate, itemized written quote from a verifiable US-based provider and I will beat it by 10%. Any work, whether I quoted it first or not, and whether you got their quote before you talked to me or after. Same work, lower price, still fixed-scope and still fully owned by you. I verify the quote is genuine and credible for the scope, and I will say so if it is not. Nonprofits, veterans, and active-duty military get 20% off instead, whichever saves you more; discounts do not stack.

Who I'm a Good Fit For.

I would rather tell you the truth up front than sell you a project that was never right. Here is where I do my best work, and where I don't.

A great fit if you want

  • A custom site you own, built to last and to load fast.
  • To talk to the person building it, not a middle layer.
  • A fair, fixed price and no surprises on the invoice.
  • A partner for the long haul, without being locked in to one.

Probably not a fit if you

  • Want the cheapest possible template site, fast and disposable.
  • Need a large in-house agency team on call around the clock.
  • Are looking for guaranteed overnight rankings or growth hacks.
  • Prefer to hand it off entirely and never see how it works.
Still weighing it

Fair Questions.

The doubts people are too polite to ask out loud, answered plainly.

Isn't one developer riskier than hiring an agency?
It is a fair worry, and the ownership model is the answer. Because the domain, the database, and every file are yours at final payment, you are never stranded if you ever need to bring in someone else. You get one accountable person now and full independence later.
How can your prices beat an agency's?
There is far less overhead to cover. No sales team, no account managers, no office, and no markup on the hosting or third-party tools you hold yourself. Managed hosting is the one thing I sell as my own service rather than pass through, and it is priced flat and published. That saved cost goes into your project or your price, not into someone else's payroll.
What is the catch with the price-beat guarantee?
Only that the quote has to be real. It needs to be written and itemized, for equivalent scope, from a verifiable US-based provider, and recent. I check it, and I will decline a quote I cannot verify or a price that could not possibly produce the work described. That is not me looking for an exit: it is the difference between beating a real competitor and being asked to match a number someone made up. Meet that bar and I beat the price by 10%, whatever the work is and whoever quoted it first. The full terms are in Section 8 of my Terms and Conditions.
Do I have to buy a care plan to work with you?
No. The care plan is there if you want ongoing updates and support, but it is entirely optional and cancels anytime. You can take your finished site and manage it yourself, or come back for help only when you need it.
How do the nonprofit and veteran discounts work?
Nonprofits, veterans, and active-duty military get 20% off. Just mention it when you reach out and I apply it to your quote. Discounts are not combined, so if more than one would apply, you get whichever single one is greater.
